Guest guest
I have posted in here before and have been helped greatly by your expertise and advice. My wife, 59, yrs old has had chronic Pancreatitus for 5 years. She's had her GB taken out in '93 and in 2001 underwent surgery here in Phoenix. The surgeon did a trans duodenal sphinteroplasty. She's had recurrent attacks since that operation, usually 2 or3 year. Now however they are more and more frequent, usually once a month. They last for several days until stones pass. My questions are,,,,,,,, where are these so called stones being manufactured ? One physician said consider having a " whipple " done,,,,,,,, what's a whipple ? This doctor also said it may be time to consider removing the pancreas, any thoughts on that suggestion ?? She takes the pancreatic enzymes faithfully before every meal and takes Vicodin for the pain during the episodes. I keep a accurate log of when she has these attacks and how long they are. Thanks.
