Guest guest
Hi Ellen... For purposes of SCD, buckwheat is technically not allowed. It may not be a grain in the same way that other grains are (individual kernals of wheat *are* called " berries " , though! Hmmmm....), but is considered a starch of the sort that will feed bad gut pathogens. Patti, mom to Katera why is buckwheat a no-no? Buckwheat is technically a fruit, so why is it included in the " illegal " grains list? Thanks! Guest guest
In the same way that potatoes and corn are veggies but are not allowed either. They are starchy. It's a guess. Carol F.
