Guest guest
The week before last was a bad week. I had a lot more pain and was tolerating less. Friday a week ago I was drinking my slimfast at work and the pain hit like a bull dozer with the nausea soon to follow. My co-workers took me down to the ER. The MRI they had scheduled was moved up to saturday night and it showed an increase in damage so the doc wanted another ercp, which was done on tuesday. The ercp showed the damaged extended to the tail with strictures and dilation and so on. I was in awful pain. They decided to put in a g-j tube, which hurts like the devil and the doctor told me I need a TP ICT and needed to go to Cincinatti for that. Since the ercp last august and the one the other day showed a very rapid spread of damage. They enrolled me in some kind of genetic study. I think I am still in shock. I cant understand how it spread so fast. I was released from the hospital this morning. So now I am on tube feedings, waiting for the home health nurse and will see the doc on wednesday to talk about a TP ICT; in Ohio to boot! I am definetly still in shock. I will try to catch up and everybody's post when I have regained my strength. This has all happened so fast. I cant beleive I was in the hospital for 8 days. I did receive excellent care though, and commend those nurses for doing such a difficult job. I cant believe that in only about a year I went from having pancreatitis in the head and now the whole organ is shot. I am in shock. scared. sad. worried. and all of the above. The home health nurse should be here soon to show me how to use the kangaroo pump so I better go wash my face and get my act together. Cant cry forever, right. I hope and pray that all of ya'll are doing well. Warmly,
