Hi,

Just a thought, but what if someone could burn the VHS over to DVD.

Would it work then?

The same difference in coding standards for VHS video tape applies to

DVD media as well, so I'm assuming the DVD would have to be formatted

in " PAL " format for use on European DVD players .... but I think most

software that is available to burn DVDs from a PC includes the option

to format for either " NTSC " or " PAL " , so that may be viable.

The other problem here is that it would probably take 5 or 6 DVD's to

hold the full 8 hours on the video tape ....

I'll try and research this a little more. Good suggestion!
