Guest guest Posted December 2, 2003 Report Share Posted December 2, 2003 > Hi, > > Just a thought, but what if someone could burn the VHS over to DVD. > Would it work then? > > Sandy > Fairifeld, California The same difference in coding standards for VHS video tape applies to DVD media as well, so I'm assuming the DVD would have to be formatted in " PAL " format for use on European DVD players .... but I think most software that is available to burn DVDs from a PC includes the option to format for either " NTSC " or " PAL " , so that may be viable. The other problem here is that it would probably take 5 or 6 DVD's to hold the full 8 hours on the video tape .... I'll try and research this a little more.
