It's that time of year!

Well, just to let you all know that I'm still here, I thought it was probably

that time of year to " Nag " .! LOL

First of all, did you all order your Medic Alert bracelets or pendants?????

NO!!!! Well why not? Ok, now I have to go into my semi annual speech, it's

not my fault, you guys make me do it.

It is VERY important that we all have a medic alert of some sort. They need

to know that we have an autoimmune disease and that we have RP, any drug

allergies and what medication we are on. Especially if we are on pred, metho

or other DMARD's.

If you were to be by yourself and something would happen,no one would know

you had RP. They need to know not to try to intubate you or that they may

have problems trying.

They have all kinds of pretty things out now and the prices start low and go

High. LOL You can get any type you want. I asked for mine for a birthday

present. You receive them in about a week. I called and they helped me with

what I should put on it because I have so many things wrong. LOL PLEASE, it

is just a phone call away. You may visit the web site at www.medicalert.org

and see some of the items they have and even order online if you want or you

can call and talk to them at 1-

They are really helpful. It may save your life one day. Please do it NOW!!

Okay enough about that. On to the next. LOL If you haven't donated to the

Foundation, please consider it again. A lot of us have written letters to

friends and family and have gotten a great response in donations. This will

really make a difference for us all. We are ready to print the Brochure, but

to get all the copies we need and to set up the print etc, it takes lots of

money. Please join our fight to find a cure. We are only asking for a $15

donation a year. Please check and see if you have a little extra change to

send to us.

I want to give a big thank you to all who have supported us last year and

continue to do so this year. We are really growing. Thanks to all the

people who are working to help us find a cure. I want to take this time to

thank Marilyn K for coming up with the idea of the exercise program and extra

change. Also to Kathleen Loch for suggesting the quilt. We are really

getting great ideas. Anyone else who has any ideas for fundraising, please

just speak up.

I also want to thank Barbara Angerhofer for being our Volunteer co

ordindator. Anyone who would like to volunteer in the Foundation, please

contact her. Her addy is angerhob@... We are always looking for

volunteers and will find a place to put you to work.
