Guest guest
Hi. I'm so glad to hear that you did well. I am 15 days post-op and I can tell you that the first few days my new tummy felt different, too. It even hurt a little bit when I drank water. I don't know if hurt is the word that I should use, but I could feel the water hit my stomach every time that I took a swallow. Using a straw helped A LOT and helps me to get in plenty of fluids. Juices taste very strong the first week, too. The good news is that it gets much better FAST and at 15 days post-op, my tummy feels really normal, just fills up much faster. I still have a pull here and there around my ports when I move too fast, but it is not painful, and I'm sure it will go away soon. It really does get better every day, so please don't get discouraged. After a couple of weeks, you won't even remember your old tummy!
