I've had my bugs in starband for just about exactly a month now. Other

than a conversation about the helmets with a waitress at a restaurant we

frequent (we're regulars, so she knows us and visa versa), I just had my

first ever comment from a stranger -- in the BRU, a man pointed at the

helmets and said " those are the best things ever, best thing you could

do! " and then pointed at his own son and said it helped him immensely.

We then joked about peripheral advantages, like when they fall down and

bonk their heads and don't get hurt.

So I dunno. We're out a *lot*, and I don't get stares or rude comments

or anything, and yesterday's encounter was in fact really heartening --

someone who has BTDT and found it worthwhile. I find it mind-boggling

when people post about rude comments and other behavior, because that

just hasn't been my experience at all. Am I the only one?
