Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Sorry you're so shattered. I do hope you can take it a bit easier but nursing is hardly that sort of job, is it? Is there any further surgery or any other steps your specialist has suggested to help you if the pain continues? Sometimes, just " putting up with it " seems so negative, doesn't it? Sadly, it does seem as if panc surgery does not always give the most psitive results. It's a temperamental beast, the pancreas, not easily tamed. I saw your post to Sue. The TP at the Royal Liverpool seems to be " new " in that it preserves the duodenum and spleen. (I speak only from what Prof has told me, ie. theoretically, not from experience like Sue!) I get the impression that each surgeon and each hospital has its particular, preferred method of doing the surgery. My pain has been more settled to-day after a couple of bad days. TGIF tomorrow (Thank God it's Friday) Do take care and I hope you're neither too tired nor in pain. With good wishes, Fliss
