Guest guest
Dear Diane, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to answer you. I've been very sick lately & can't seem to get over this flare up. I hate to hear that your doc gave up on you. I've had this stupid illness 10 years, & I can tell you from my own experience, trial & error, & mind over matter trials, I honestly do NOT believe that treating my pancreaitis pain CAUSES amdominal pain. The flare ups seem to go in waves, some worse than others, but as long as I listen to my body, I can adjust my dosgae. Sometimes, I have to wonder about these " studies, " & how true they are. I also believe that if you talk to legitimate pancreatitis patients, they will tell you that their pain is real & not induced by their treatment. Hugs to you! Guest guest
Oh my, I'm no domestic engineer. However, I do like a clean, if not tidy, house. I used to be very paticular about things and found as our family grew to six, I needed to be very organized and learned to let some things go. I grew up the oldest (or so I thought until I met my older half-sister) in an abusive home. While my mother worked hard to provide for us, I tried to keep the home going and care for my younger siblings. Thus, I honed my cleaning skills! My mother made sure my brother did his fair share of cleaning and cooking! He's probably a better cook than I am. I'm carrying on the tradition with my son. His significant other is going to thank me some day!! My husband tells me the kids will have the cleanest dorms in college and will be the resident chefs. And, it's starting to pay off. Twice this week, I've come home to dinner - courtesty of my 14 year old! One night we had spaghetti, salad and bread (a killer with braces!) and the other a burrito bar, Spanish rice and beans. If only my husband were so trainable! Even though we had a house cleaner, it didn't take but a day and the place would start falling apart! But at least we knew the under layers were clean. And like many of your stories, I would spend a good couple of hours the night before picking up clutter and CLEANING the toilet =) Having a house cleaner was the best money I've ever spent! But, until I know more about what insurance will cover on my surgery, if I'm going to sue my dentist for the remainder, etc., I'm back to the old " if we all pitch in for about an hour, things will be done in no time " pep talk!
