Guest guest
If you're seeing soft stools still, and gas, it's time to take a step back. At only 3 & 1/2 months on SCD, it is too soon for beans. Peas might even be too soon, as they are fairly starchy. I would say that given the symptoms he's having, he obviously is having difficulty properly digesting the beans.... so you should pull those out. Pull the peas, too.... and then try adding them back later to see if they bother him. At this point, all of his fruits should still be peeled and cooked (except the ripe banana), in my opinion. Blueberries should be cooked AND strained through a fine mesh sieve to get the skins and seeds out. You can use the result like a jam or syrup. What veggies does he eat besides carrots? Patti 5yr old gas My five year old has been on SCD for about 31/2 months he is doing ok but he has terrible gas and is very embaressed. He was dig- with ADHD. And has a classic symptoms of red cheeks red ears tip of nose - food allergy stuff the more I took out of his diet the better he does. But he is starting school in the fall and I am affraid of him being so uncomf at school because of the gas. I use phenol and phenol assist with him. He eats all meat except pork, cook vegs carrot ,peas ,beans and eats softpears, very ripe banana, and blueberries and peaches. He does not have diahrea but his stools are soft at times. I wonder if I should increase dig enzymes or add a diff kind? please help

Guest guest
--- I am using acidophilus but was thinking I might try the yogurt. my oldest ADHD has only had a couple of good looking stools. But my celiac boy has has good firm stools since the second week on the diet. got a 2 on milk and carter got a 3 on milk on the IGG test. So I was not sure if that had anything to do with when to start the yogurt or not. In pecanbread , " Patti " wrote: > > <<---Well eats the green beans and the peas. I did not know peas are > starchy. Guest guest
- Thank you so much I was just getting ready to start the process of getting the yogurt stuff together you have saved me alot of time. I am going to our Co-Op this morning to check for goat cheese. I belive a IGG test tells what the stomach and intestines are not digesting. So we know to pull allthe things that were suspected but also some extras we would never have known like my son cannot have pork so that made a huge diff in our life.- and keeping it out is helping him do so much better. -- In pecanbread , " Patti " wrote: > > I don't personally know anything about the IGG testing, so not sure how to advise you on when to start yogurt. Was the testing done on cow milk? > > We usually suggest parents start by trying some legal goat cheese, to see if the dairy itself is tolerated.... because the yogurt sometimes causes additional die-off, which can confuse the issue and lead us to believe we're seeing an intolerance reaction. If the goat cheese is okay... then you might want to start SCD goat yogurt. > > Patti > Re: 5yr old gas > > I am using acidophilus but was thinking I might try the yogurt. > my oldest ADHD has only had a couple of good looking stools. > But my celiac boy has has good firm stools since the second > week on the diet. got a 2 on milk and carter got a 3 on milk on > the IGG test.
