My son was 4 months old when he was banded (Jan 26,2009) and we noticed a visable difference with in the first week. He has now been in the helmet almost 2 months and his head is about perfect but his ears are still off a bit. He has outgrown the helmet and we are now waiting on number 2. (this friday). They dont do scans here but they measured his head each time due to the fact he was growing so quickly. They never anticipated for him to outgrow the helmet before 2 months, but for all the doubts I had when we started this, it has been well worth it.

How long was it before you were able to see visable results with your LO?? Just curious....Also, how often does the LO get scanned to check for progress??

It really depends on how soon you catch a growth spurt. Catch one early and you will see results early.

Also, We had Hanger and our ortho scanned at almost every appt. It really depends on the band and the ortho.
