Guest guest
Sharyn, Your dr sounds wonderful. It sure sounds like he's on the right track. He is doing everything that he should be. The blood work, the office visits, explaination of Methotrexate, etc. sounds like you are in good hands. Did he put you on folic acid with the metho? This seems to help with the side effects. There seems to be some controversary about it though. I think the majority of us on it took Folic acid. Some drs. say it counteracts the metho. Might want some feed back from the group on this. The metho made me really tired and nauseated until i finally adjusted. Think this is a common side effect. It is a chemo drug. If you work you might want to start the drug on a Friday so you will have the weekend to recoup. I don't work and I was taking it on Friday, but it messed up my whole weekend so I switched to Sunday night so I would be sick on Monday. LOL Everyone has to work out their own schedule. Good luck and glad to hear that they are finally doing something. If you want more information on Methotrexate, you will find it on any drug site. If you can't let me know and I will send it to you. hugs

Guest guest
, I know the migraine is not a typical side effect, but when have I ever been "typical". They have to know it's abnormal, when it arrives EVERY Tuesday precisely at 4 PM. Each dr, the rheumy and my PCP want the other one to deal with it. I just take my Vicodin and go to bed, it's usually fine by Wednesday. Love, Judy Re: Rheumy visit today outcome << Also get a migraine every Tuesday (c >>Judy, when I was on metho, I got the migraine too. My drs. thought I wasnuts. LOLSharyn, don't let us scare you.
