No, a doctor seeing my son mentioned it as a possibility after I described

my symptoms (he is a geneticist, so he asked me a lot of questions too). He

said that it is notoriously difficult to test for, so many doctors give a

course of Flagyl if it is suspected & see if things clear up. I haven't

followed up. As I said, it wasn't only the mucus & bloating, but the

extremely sulphuric burps- I've NEVER had anything like them before. And as

I said- I can't quite describe it, but the gas composition is NOT like a

normal burp- it's lighter... I know that sounds odd. But it has definitely

gotten better since we moved 9 mos. ago.
