Guest guest
Hello all, Thanks to those who answered this, it really helped. I tested my thermometer against another and the Yogurmet is 20 degrees off! OK, this is the second Yogurmet thermometer I bought. The first came with the unit, the second I found online. What am I to do? Is there a brand that is good that anyone can recommend? Is there another way to test the temp? Dazed and confused! Help! One good thing, I saw where it said to drain through a sieve for " smoother " yogurt. That might solve my 'solids' problem right there. I just need to know I am at 180 degrees. God bless, Hazelpone

Guest guest
Hi, Just to let you know my Yogurmet thermometer is also off. It came with the maker. I do not use it. We have a meat thermometer that we use, and it works just fine. The brand is an AcuRite. We bought it at a resturant supply store. Hopes this helps, Belle Hazel P wrote: Hello all, Thanks to those who answered this, it really helped. I tested my thermometer against another and the Yogurmet is 20 degrees off! Guest guest
My Yogourmet thermometer stopped working after I washed it in the dishwasher 10+ times. With my new thermometer (bought at Target) I check to see what it is registering before I start to use it. (It should be air temperature before putting it in the milk). Obviously I don't put my new thermometer in the dishwasher! Carolyn mom to dd, age 10, SCD 3.5 months > > Hi, > > Just to let you know my Yogurmet thermometer is also off. It came with the maker.
