Guest guest
Dear Cristine, I have to ask you after having read your mail about the feeling of the blood leaving the legs and head. For months I have tried to explain to doctors whats happening to me when I feel the pulse in my body and disappearing arms and legs, lightheaded, get totally pale, people who see me ask if I need an ambulance. It is a scary feeling and can go on for hours, my explanation has been-something is swolling up ín my stomach, thats from where it starts. The doctors send me to psyciatriasts, I am a hypocondric and so on, no no no. Please if you have the time send me a line, your descibtion at last fitted in I have asked so many, not everyone seem to have these symtpoms, All the best Sonja -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: Skickat: den 15 mars 2004 04:28 Till: pancreatitis Ämne: Fliss, stress to Heidi and turtle cake for Jerry YOu haven't miss very much my dear. I have not heard anything definitive. Friday I had an MRI of my neck and back. Here's the kicker, I drove myself to the doc on wednesday. First time to drive since I had the acute attack, Well I am in the drug store and have a huge spell, so bad that I gasped very loudly and started to cry from the pain. Something I never ever do in front of my children as it scares them terrible. I got into a big fight with the new pharmaicist, who does not know me from adam, and felt that my prescription for demerol was inappropriate... I was fuming! So I do believe that STRESS can be a big factor in attacks. Stress releases cortisol and so little is know of that funny little hormone. Stress effects every aspect of the human body, increases blood pressure, respirations, heart rate, the fight or flight sympathetic nervous systems kicks in. Blood physically leaves the extremities (even the brain) and goes to the visceral organs to protect them. YOur adrenals begin to make epinephrine as well. And thats just the beginning of the stress cycle. Personally I think the panc pain comes from the diaphragms reaction to the viceral organs during stress. I ama diaphragmatic breather. Something I was taught when I was a very small girl and had begun training to sing opera. I think the diaphragm swells puts pressure on surround organs around the panc .. buts the squeeze on it so to speak, so the panc pushes back. Just my little thought because I can feel my diaphragm so easily. So again I am calling the residents or the attending about meds. Nobody called me back. I fussed at about that the other day in clinic so I cant believe it has happened again. I was really mad and sent him a very angry email. I have no problem waiting, just as long as somebody calls. Chocolate turtle cake? I cheat in such a big way. I buy the devels food chocholat mix, add very finely crushed FRESH pecans in the mix, not too much just a few. Then have caramel frosting. I place the crushed pecans between each layer and have some whole halves to place on top like a decoration. It is fantastic; I usually dont tell people I use a mix but I think I can trust ya'll. I have about a ton of demerol on board so I dont even know if I am writing legibly. I did check the recipe twice tho, too easy. We have gotten so many new members, they certainly have come to the right place. I love you all. in SC
