Guest guest
KRISTI: Calm down, you do not SOUND rational and I'm betting this would NOT be a good time for you to have a discussion with RR. First you say " I am still not approved because I cannot take Methotrexate " and then you say " He is talking about needing a very, very detaied (sp?) letter from a gastro. dr and a hematologist. " Maybe I'm mis-reading this, but it doesn't sound like an absolute denial to me; it sounds as if RR wants to approve you for MGB, but needs additional verification from specialists. If so, you're just one or two physician visits from the MGB: go to a gastroenterologist and a hematologist. What's the big deal? JUST DO IT. Unless there is something we're not privy to, this does not seem unreasonable. If the first two specialists don't think you should have MGB, try two other specialists. RR's not unreasonable just because he considers the liver to be a vital organ (other reasons, maybe, but not that.) He gets to make the rules; even if, worse case scenario, he is an evil, misogynistic jerk, it's still his game, his rules. I hope I haven't made an enemy here, but I think, assuming your liver is in good shape, you can solve this problem in short order with two more physician visits (one, if you can find gastro/hemo specialties in one body!) Keep us posted, because we are all in your corner and we do care (even me.)
