Hi everybody!

I got home late Sunday night and stayed home yesterday just for one

more day of " recovery " before returning to work this morning.

First--thanks to all the wonderful people I met in North Carolina!

The dinner Tuesday night was such a blessing! It was so encouraging

to see the support all of us pre-ops received from the post-ops! The

information they provided and support they offered was so wonderful.

It sure cemented my resolve and commitment to have the surgery on

Wednesday. I think my husband was also very excited to see the

success stories! Gloria, thanks for spending time with us, too! My

prayers are with you on your journey.

My 8/9 and 8/10 " team " was wonderful, too! I hope you are all doing

well.

I feel absolutely fantastic! My surgery was at 5:30pm on August 9.

The procedure was 31 minutes long. Dr. Rutledge came to see me at

6:45am on August 10 and released me (less than 14 hours after

surgery)! I have no pain, have never vomited and have never had

diahrrea! I have not had to take a single pain pill since leaving

the hospital. I have had very, very minimal nausea. The only

" problem " I have is that I seem to tire easily. I am hoping to be

able to work full-time starting today.

I am still having a small issue with " head hunger, " but I think that

will just take some time.

Thanks to everybody on this list for all of the support you've given

me over the past few months. It's great to be on the " other side! "

If anybody has any questions, feel free to email me at

dnjester*swbell.net (replace the * with an @).

Have a great day!
