Guest guest
Cinnamin sounds like a delicious way to ease the symptoms of DM. It cant hurt that's for sure. Just be sure to get pure cinnamin and not cinnamin sugar, that probably would be bad..lol. I really like it in tea, added to oatmeal or biscuits. How have your blood sugars been running? Didn't you say you invested in a glucometer? Keep a journal and write down how much cinnamon and your blood sugars, daily, maybe you'll be instrumental in the discovery of a new treatment protocol. We can call it the " Fliss Factor " ! Seriously though, there is so little truly known about our conditions that any and all possible treatments, without obvious harm, should be tried. I have been on antioxidents and trace minerals for a long time. Started them over a year ago, but had to quit last August or so because I could not tolerate them. I have been trying to go back on them for the last few weeks. The doc gave me a script for prilosec which I think will help, the was regurgitaing the Vits and Mins when I quit them last summer and have had problems with that since the surgery. I dont know what Antox is, never heard of it, but I did a lot of research on Antioxidents and trace minerals and came up with a recipe that did help for a while with my discomfort. I could not tolerate the enzymes at all and they helped. I also take Flaxseed Oil 2grams, and Amino Acids(protien) 1 gram. Along with selenium, lycopene, Alpha limpoic acid; Vits A and D, beta carotene, biotin (for my hair) B-complex and 1 gram of Vit E. I need to restock, I am out of most of them. I usually go to a GNC and it cost about $50 a month, well it used to. I've just started back a few weeks ago and am taking it slowly; regurgitating burns my throat terribly, it painful, makes me hoarse and I cant sing. YOur right, about the left and right hands. But you have gotten some wonderful support from all your physicians, your very fortunate with that as so many others on this group are left dangling and confused. Your genetist may be a good person to get in touch with for continued study. As we are both aware, there is very little knowledge on the subject and you would be a woonderful candidate to study. Me, they would want to study in the pchyciatric ward! Was the appt on the 17th for a pre-op evaul? Probably. That might be a good appt time to sit down and talk with your surgeon about your options. Make sure that your gi has sent a note to the surgeon in regard to ya'll discussion. But I think you should be evaluated more often then every 3 months. Thats a long time for those of us with cp. Have a wonderful and beautiful New Years. We will be going to the feast at my sister in-laws house. Well they will, I dont know if I will. I took 2 ultram, its a strong analgesic, over an hour ago and its still not helping much with the pain. I certainly hope this spells ends quickly and your lull last forever. With all my love sweet sweet Fliss. The " Fliss Factor " has a certain ring to it doesn't it! LOLOLOL Chrissy
