Guest guest
Hey there, I am not sure if we have spoken but my name is Peg. I am Mom to Brandan who had the TP/ICT in Aug of 2002. Truly no need to apologize for ranting, we all do understand and if you don't tell someone who understands it can only add to your already over abundance of stress. YES, I say stress does add to this condition, although not proven a medical fact, I see what effects it has had on my son. As for that nurse, NOTHING makes my blood boil more than having someone, especially someone familiar with your case take your symptoms so lightly. DO find out this nurses name and DO report her, write to her superiors the same thing you just told us and tell them how she lacked compassion. I know in the state of MA if any medical person receives a complaint it is investigated, but what is more important is if there is a complaint it stays on file and if more than one come up, more action is taken. Another thing, I know in MA it is illegal and I thought in other states but I may be wrong to discuss another's condition with anyone. DON'T forget to mention that you over heard her talking to another patient about you. I have been through similar situations with medical professionals and believe me, I have had more than one phone call not only from them apologizing but from the head of the hospital in which they worked. YOU and all who suffer with this horrific illness deserve better, speak up for it can't hurt. I just had to write and let you know how I felt, it got me so mad when I thought about how you had been treated. It makes me mad when I hear a lot of the stories of how people who suffer here are treated, but I wanted to let you know I understand. I guess all we can do is to continue to " TAKE IT ONEDAY AT A TIME " in hopes of the understanding of others in the future. As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Keep smiling (cuz sometimes its all one can do!) TTFN... : ) Peg Bates Brwnbare9@... Massachusetts State Chapter Rep.
