Guest guest
Hi: I'm five days out from surgery, wanting to see answers here from post-ops who have been out longer: Please describe in detail your diet for the first few weeks following surgery. My littermates and I would be so grateful to you. Thank you! Blair MBG 8/9/

My first week I mostly drank Gatorade, water, v8, tomato juice, grape juice, and I always made a protien shake. I also had chicken broth, beef broth, and one of my all time favorites Tomato soup with crackers. I also had popsicles, my favorite being Dole or Edy's strawberry fruit bars Yummmm. Then the second week I kind of had the same, but, I tried alot of cream soups, like, pea soup, bean soup, clam chowder. flavored crackers, such as, chicken in a bisquit, bacon, chees its, all mushy most of the time in soup. Then this week I have tried all the same, plus, I tried just a little seafood salad (it sat well). Runny oatmeal, mashed bananas, cheese spread on some crackers, I tried some cottage cheese, and hmmmmm not so sure it agrees with me?? But I am still mostly a soup and cracker and juice kinda girl LOL. I guess, I feel like I get alot more?? More Bites I mean? If I eat solids or anything like that it is only a bite or two and I am full, and I don't like that. Especially since I am having a hard time eating and drinking SLOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! It is definately a learning process!! Anyways I hope you are feeling great!! Hope to meet you soon! Take care! xoxoxo Margie SC 7/26 :~)
