Guest guest
It was not this doc who asked for the power of attorney it was the doc I left to come to him! Who was a woman. She was a real b----! It was always something with her. All she cared about was giving somebody a pill for everything! I told her I had trouble sleeping (who with CP doesn't) and she wanted to give me Xanaflex a muscle relaxer. I told her I could not take muscle relaxers as they keep me awake for days on end. Her brilliant comment was take it in the morning and you will have a good day. As far as the power of attorney, we had a battle over that one. It old her my hubby knew what to do and she said she could override him. I don't know why she ever brought the subject up anyway? I think it really has something to do with medicare and how she looks at medicare patients. I felt like I was in the presence of the grim reaper! Especially after she told me they wouldn't do anything for 3-4 or days if something bad were to take place. Three of four days! Is that all I am worth? I really should turn her in to the medical board or at least just file a complaint. But, being in this small place, she could make big trouble for hubby at the hospital. Believe me if he ever is not working there for osme reason, I will have the newspapers and the TV stations in for interviews for the last 7 years worth of crap I have put up with. But not now. As far as the new doc and the spasm comment, I just ignore it and give him an education. My GI doc takes care of things if I am in the hopsital and she does tell these PCPs that I know my disease more than they do. So its ok. If things get bad enough, I will go back to MUSC and see Dr. Cotton again! Right now things are fine. We will see if and when I have another attack! You have a Merry Christmas!
