Gosh it's so very, very nice to hear from you again! Can you believe

it's been almost three years since we last corresponded?! Yes indeed it was

really nice to hear from Shirley too, and nice of her to forward my mail to

you. Shirley is so sweet, as are you my friend. :-) We went through a lot of

good and bad times together on this board back then. I'm just so glad that

you and Shirely are doing so much better in the pancreatitis department.

I'm sorry that you didn't hear back from me sooner, but I sent a long

letter to your e-mail address listed in my cpts. address book and I guess

that was a bad idea because it came back as undeliverable. Oh well, those

things happen.

Yes, I do remember your big surgery and the " little monster. " That does

illustrate how the fanciest technology can still misdiagnose a problem. I'm

so glad they got that tumor out. We would all be devastated and heartbroken

if anything happenned to you my friend. One of the heartwarming parts of

being back here is learning how many folks have had that

pancreatectomy/islet cell surgery and are back to feeling great and going on

with their lives.

I have thought of you so many times since I left. I'm sorry that I

didin't get your letter, I certainly didn't mean for you to worry. Believe

me, if I had gotten your letter I would have written back to you

immediately. I was still living in town then.

Well, I'll write more later, I'm so sleepy now I need to head upstairs

for the night, but gosh it's good to hear from you again. Please write back

when you can and wee'll do some more catching up. Say, I'll bet Madison must

be really a big girl now. How old is she?
