Guest guest
A little while ago someone had a post about places to find Pseudomonas. If anyone still has it can they forward it to me @ baileyk80@... ? My mother-in-law seems to think that just because a place is clean that it is also sterile. I want that list to show her that even some of the most sterile places can still harbor Pseudomonas. Thanks, Katy mom to Austin 4 no CF & Piper 1 year w/CF Katy Mom to Austin 4 no CF & Piper 1 w/CF
Guest guest
I always remember what a nurse said about Pseudomonas and that is: " When it dries, it dies. " Pa cannot live in the abscence of water. It's very common around sinks. What we are beginning to understand is that the regular kid germs - save viruses - are not the kind you should worry too much about with CF. After all, we have a 11 month old that is all over the floor and puts everything she gets in her mouth. We do keep things as clean as utterly possible and wash hands a lot as well as keep things dry around our sinks etc. We try not to be nuts about it because we found that we were not able to keep our sanity if we continued to worry about all the " unseen organisms lurking " . We still made some changes though. One I got from is that we bought a lot of small white hand towels and keep them rolled up in a basket in the bathroom so that people aren't using the same one.
