Guest guest
Simone, You didn't reply to my previous questions. What happens when he eats the foods that showed up on the IgG test? IgG tests do NOT show allergies, they show intolerances-meaning that he is still having some leaky gut issues and those foods are leaking through and causing an intolerance. But if the score is low (1+), there is a good chance that he is not showing any reaction to the foods. But I am getting the impression that you rely very heavily on nuts for his diet. This is not necessary (or even recommended). Feed him meat, fruits and veggies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is no law that says " breakfast foods " for breakfast. Humans need to eat food. Food is all that is required for a meal. Goat's milk has casein. All mammal's milk has casein. It's just that goat's milk tends to be more easily digested by humans than cow's milk is. So, if you add the goat's milk yogurt, you will no longer be casein free. Several of us have found that our kids who could not tolerate cow's milk products do just fine with goat's milk yogurt. Are you using probiotics? I would not recommend BED. It allows polysaccharide grain alternatives. As for LOD, that would depend on whether your son reacts negatively to high oxalate foods. By removing the nuts from his diet, you will be removing the largest source of oxalates from his diet anyway. Please provide us with a list of what he will eat. Otherwise, it is virtually impossible for us to make reasonable suggestions for meals. Guest guest
Dear Simon, Elaine said that the casein and proteins in milk are denatured in a 24 hour batch of yogurt. Some of us who are casein free can tolerate the stuff. So like us you may want to experiment. http://www.pecanbread.com/goatyogurt.html<http://www.pecanbread.com/goatyogurt.h\ tml> She also said that as the gut heals on SCD...that many of these strange sensitivities and " allergies " finally get to vanish. That these sensitivities and behavior reactions to foods, are caused by a leaky gut, that is so damaged it can't digest and break down large proteins and stuff....so they sneak through and cause havoc with the brain. Hope this helps too! You are in good hands, Antoinette and entire family of five SCD 2/06 (celiac, adhd, add autism and more)
