Guest guest
Just a few questions when making the Almond yoghurt. 1. When you are filtering the almond milk through cheese cloth how many layers of cheese cloth do you need? Is it necessary to filter, I blended almond flour with water and it looks just like milk. Can I omit the filter stage? Thanks Tara
Guest guest
Tara, I think you'll find that there is some sediment left at the bottom of the blender.... a fine, gritty sediment of almond. That's what you want to strain out. I'd say three layers of cheesecloth, though it's been a while since I've done almond milk and I've not ever done the yogurt. I'm sure you could still make yogurt with the gritty sediment left in, but the bottom layer would be extra crunchy.
