Guest guest
I'm very new to this diet. Does Hazelnut Milk have sugar? I noticed that Almond Milk does. > > Just in time for hot summer weather, I'm reposting this recipe that was sent to the list a couple of years ago. Guest guest
Cheri, Welcome! The nut milks we make for SCD contain honey, NOT sugar. ( refined sugar and even raw sugar, organic, cane beet or otherwise play no part in SCD) Sugar feeds bad intestinal gut bugs :-(. More nut milk recipes are at: http://www.pecanbread.com/recipes.html > I'm very new to this diet. Does Hazelnut Milk have sugar? I > noticed that Almond Milk does. > > Carol F. Guest guest
Patti, I tried your recipe last night. I had to use almond butter, because my son can't have peanuts. They turned out GREAT!!! He hasn't had ice cream in so long, and they were like little 'fudgesicles'. I put them in little popsicle molds, but I am going to try putting it in little containers, and eating it with a spoon- like a little dixie cup. It could be sent to school (if they put it in the freezer right away) and if the other kids get ice cream, he could have some, too. This is a really nice recipe- thanks so much.
