Guest guest
Whenever there is a setback, it is always advisable to take a step back... if not all the way back to intro for a day, then at least to all peeled and cooked fruits and veggies... simplifying and making all as EASY TO DIGEST as possible. Aside from that, just give it time for all the trace illegals to leave the system. You've just got to become ultra, ULTRA careful about reading all labels... never assume ANYthing... become a " Super Sleuth " . Especially when it comes to supps. Don't take anyone's word for it... even a doctor. READ the label for ALL ingredients before you buy. Some companies do not make that part easy.... which is when I get extra suspicious. Patti Suggestions about starting over? Dear SCD moderators, WE are five 1/2 months out. In the last two weeks we have messed up with illegals in our milk (carrageenan and poly sorbate 80) and discovered to day that their where illegals in our calcium supplement. Our daughter, Kiki is now having problems with a bit of diarrhea. Now I know why. Thanks to you guys I was warned about the calcium we where using. Not the " celiac crises type of diarrhea " that causes dehydration...but she is going three to four times a day and it is loose and not formed. Her behavior is not regressing as far as ASD symptoms go, but she is more irritable and sleeping more. None of the rest of us are showing celaic symptoms. But our kids are all more tantrumy and my husband is more irritable...I am very grouchy and more tired than usual. What should we do? Should we start over? Thank you Antoinette and (celiac) -5 celiac adhd Kiki-2 Celiac/asd Bubbles-1 Hyperekplexia SCD 2/06 For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com
