Guest guest
HI Chrissy, We saw Offebcah's " Les Contes d'Hoffman " (Tales of Hoffman). It was BRILLIANT and the sets were so splendid. None of the men wore tux etc. this time. But a lot of the women were superbly dressed! Yes, I was lucky over the pain. It came on a bit just before the theatre but my tablet sent it packing. We also went on the London Eye (huge new ferris wheel on the south bank which gives great views of the city. Looking right down on Big Ben was quite interesting. Didn't get arrested for anything, though!! Behaved quite well really!! Too tired with all that walikg about! It's natural to be uneasy about the surgery. I'm going to keep a very close eye, with a diary to help, on my pain progress now. If things get bad, I will be revisiting the TP issue. My gastro told me I'd need to be sure that the post-TP situation was better than the pre-TP one. That's why he wanted me to wait while I was going through such a good spell. Chrissy, it will take some time to get over the surgery. Don't even be thinking of the time you'll go back to work. You'll have to let nature take its course. How many times you must have said that to patients!! Both my gastro and surgeon told me to expect a long hard slog after the op. The surgeon didn't think work would be an option in under six months but, of course, I'm older than you and maybe your general fitness level is high. I know Sue went back earlier than that. On the other hand, I'm sure that feeling positive about the surgery and looking forward is bound to help as well. I hope the last practical details get sorted quickly, insurance etc. Cincin. certainly seems an excellent centre, from waht Bert said. Wonder if he's going to post again, BTW? Take care. I can't imagine the effect of the tubes etc. You seem to be very patient. What was the stent for? Drainage? With love and good wishes, Fliss
