Guest guest
Dear , The fact that your gallbladder isn't functioning explains a lot of your problems. While I still don't understand what, other than obstruction, would have caused the pancreatitis in the first place, this is more than likely something that you can ask your doctor's to explain. I'd be curious to hear what they have to say! I know you're unhappy about having to wait all through the weekend for something positive to happen to solve your problems, I'm sure that scheduling a procedure just wasn't possible on such short notice. Usually these things take a few days to arrange, unless they are of an emergency nature. Hopefully this meeting with the surgeon on Monday will bring the results you're looking for and you'll get your surgery set up early in the week. I truly hope that this will be the answer to all of your problems and that we never have to see you again. Tee hee.....don't take offense.....I'm sure you know what I mean! If it is the gallbladder that is causing all the trouble, once it's removed, you should recover well and then have no reason to worry about pancreatitis again. And no need to seek our help. Wouldn't that be wonderful? So much better than having to deal with chronic pancreas problems for the rest of your life! Please let us know when you are going to be operated on, and then afterward, too. We'd all like to know how it goes and how you are doing afterward. Take it easy and slow over the weekend. Drink ginger ale, or tuck a sliver of raw ginger root between your teeth and gums and suck on it, that will help greatly with your nausea. It's a trick I learned from my OB-GYN doc when I was pregnant with my first child 33 years ago, and it really worked well then. I never dreamed that I'd have need to do it again, but it works well with the CP nausea. So rest up and take it easy this weekend....it will be next week before you know it.
