It's esp. normal around the 3rd week. Lots of people hit a slowdown in there. It is because your body is now *actively* breaking down real fat, not just water weight, and it takes longer. You will carry the water around awhile, too -- so right now, a better indicator of the fact your body really is breaking down fat is to measure your arms and waist. The scale may not change while you carry the water around from it, but your body will eventually dump it! As for what you can eat, I lost my most weight so far the same week I was on a Little Debbie Mini-Donuts kick. I find that I get on " kicks " where I eat something for a week or two, then it's done and I don't want it anymore, and while that has included donuts, it has also included vegetable soup, cantalope, salad, and other foods (though I am still partial to vegetable soup and salads and eat those a lot just because I like them). Some of the really fast losers like to brag how they eat whatever they want. See the pictures of Lori knocking down fried squid, for instance! I lost my *LEAST* weight and at the slowest pace, when I was carefully monitoring every morsel of food and making sure I didn't get over 700 calories a day. You aren't on a diet. Dr. R. is right: Don't worry, be happy. Kind regards,
