Guest guest
Hi all!! I haven't posted in a while, but I have a question. As some of you know, Piper was having trouble gaining weight, so her doc changed her formula to 4 oz pediasure & 4 oz Peptamen 1.5 per feed. She quickly gained over 2 lbs, so they adjusted her enzymes accordingly. Now, since they changed her formula her stool became more firm and she was only having one a day. Since they increased her enzyme dose, her stool is a little looser and more frequent (she poops with every feed 4 or 5 times a day). Now my question is, could too many enzymes cause her to do this or could too few enzymes do this, or both? She doesn't go back to clinic until September, and I don't want to wait until then to bring this up with the doc. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Katy, Yes -- too many and too few enzymes can cause frequent stooling. Also, stomachaches, nausea -- these symptoms should be listed on the bottle or in the pamphlet that comes with it. It can be a real juggling act to get it right, and just about the time you get it right, they start teething and that causes loose stools for a while! Kim > Hi all!!
