Guest guest
Thank you for your supportive and heartwarming replies. I want you to know that I " know " that self-love is the basis for being attractive and believing in yourself is the only way someone else will believe in you. But for me, the brain knowledge doesn't bolster up my heart. But you all are giving me exactly what my heart needs: people who know what I'm talking about; non-judgment; and great stories about how your men have supported you and been concerned, loving and caring. I especially like those because I've never seen heavy women treated with love, caring and respect. I've seen only criticism and judgment. I guess the only encouragement from guys towards fat women I have seen is when I lose weight some man (my dad, my brother) will say " great job. " Not the most accepting feedback--you only get encouraged for changing your unacceptable self! No matter how good I feel about myself, it would sure be nice to walk around in public and not have to see disgust or amusement on people's faces as they stare when you walk by. I ignore it and know it's " their " problem--but it's still not a great feeling! It would be a great thing to not have to feel ashamed of myself because I'm fat. It would be even better if I weren't fat. I read all your replies and am afraid of naming names lest I leave anyone out, but you are all GEMS!!!!!!!!
