Guest guest
Hi, I made my first batch of goat yogurt, and I have a few questions: 1) My kids are already taking probiotics. Should I continue giving them the probiotic capsules as I introduce the yogurt? Should I stop giving them the probiotics as they get up to a " full dose " of yogurt (which I assume is about 1/2 cup or so)? 2) How do I know if the yogurt turned out right? It tastes a little like sour milk - which I guess is what it sort of is. 3) The yogurt starter was warm when it arrived. It was sent 2-day mail. I think I read previous posts where the company said it should be okay. Should I be concerned about the quality of the yogurt starter? 4) Can I freeze the yogurt - will it still have the benefits of the good bacteria when I thaw it? If I make ice cream with it, will it still have the good bacteria? 5) When we adjust to the yogurt, can we eat as much as we like, or is there a recommended daily limit? Thanks, Liz mom to 5 (PDD) and 3 SCD 23 days
