Guest guest
Dear Deanna, I know you understand, and you weren't the originator of that expression, because you were just going through a situation where you saw the practicality of having some unused medication. Before you mentioned it though, I didn't know that doctors felt that was a sign of addictive behavior, that was a surprise, but one I don't doubt, unfortunately. Seems they jump to conclusions and quickly affix negative labels like " drug seeking " or " addictive " before they really know a person's true medical background, and I hate that! Acute CP pain is absolutely the worst pain I've ever experienced. To know that we go through that, all of us, at some time, and walk out ready to tough it out and go on another day is testimony to our strength. The fact that we sometimes need analgesic help just to make it through that next day, just to function, shouldn't be labled as addictive behavior and I really resent anyone that puts us in that category. I better get off my soapbox now and back to the business at hand. Be careful if you are going to talk to your doctor, though. If he's already expecting you to get by on so much less, he's probably not going to be receptive to an increase. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep.
