Guest guest
Generally pain clinics are run by anestheologist. Those are MD's who have specialized in anesthesia then did another 2 years fellowship in pain management. At least the ones that I know do. They can be very beneficial to some. If you are not comfortable with your current physicians; by all means find new ones. You have to be 100% comfortable with them in order to be able to communicate effectively with them. If you dont feel good about the qualitity of care you are recieving you will not feel good! There are plenty of good docs out there. Where do you live? > My Gi prescribes me my pain meds all the time and when one doesnt work he > tries another ntil something works. He is now thinking about sending me to an > anathesiologist(sp?) for a nerve block. My suggestion is fined a new pcp, find > a good GI and go to the pain clinic they can help too
