So I emailed and phoned and had a correspondence with the Customer Service representative. She had another person forward the exact process the Pecans are put through. I suggest you make your own determination since my friend and I are both chemically sensitive and this may not hold true for the majority of others. I get some excellent SCD compliant items at Canadian Costco and just renewed my membership. here are some: Italian Parmesan Cheese in the whole wedge, Tine Norwegian Jarslberg sliced cheese, Western Creamery DCCC (Baker's cheese 4%) sugar free smoked salmon , Renoir Capers, Marques de Paiva Organic Whole Coffee Beans, medium roast, cultured butter, frozen ocean caught sea scallops and shrimp, lamb chops, organic salad field greens, eggs, prosciutto among others. From time to time they carry frozen organic green beans. There are a few things I get at Whole Foods that are not a fair price and the savings at Costco lowered my food bills substantially. BTW " Smoke " as an added flavoring is not legal, but meats, fish and poultry done in a smokehouse are. I did not check about products in the U.S. Carol F.
