Guest guest
Hi all. I posted a couple of days ago, but didn't get a reply, so I thought I would try again. My family doc has diagnosed me with chronic pancreatitis, following a bout of acute at age 10 ( I am now in my 30s). When I have a " flare up " of pain, and difficulty digesting, I always belch continuously after eating, even when I take enzymes. Is this typical? My family doc seems unconcerned, and has never referred me to a GI. Should I be concerned? Is there anything they can do, anyway? When I have a flare-up, it usually lasts at least a month (sometimes much longer) and I always lose weight. I am relatively healthy in-between flares. Love the group - there is a very supportive feeling here! JL
