Guest guest
Your right, it is propofol and it is often used with fentanyl. However it has to be administered by an MD or CRNA. With conscious sedation, demerol versed and the like, RN's administer that. Me,, I take the anestesiologist or nurse anestetist and get sedated to just to the edge of needing to be intubated, I dont want to know a thing, feel a thing, hear a thing, just wake me up when its all over. I have admininstered plenty of meds for conscious sedation and it does work very well, I used to do bronchoscopys at MUSC. Sandy you may want to find out exactly who will be administering the sedation, a doc, crna or a rn. That way you can talk with your doc about what kind of sedation you feel you need. Trust me, they dont like us waking up any more then we do. I hope your doing ok Sandy, I haven't stop praying for you and your family.
