Guest guest
Chrissy, After getting tied up in Savannah traffic I managed to turn my trip to pick up my med script into a three and a quarter hour trip. Fortunately, the traffic was just slow and not relating to any accidents that I could see, which is fine. It is pathetic though, what we have to go through to get those meds......by the time I got home, my local pharmacy was closed. Fortunately I went a day earlier than I needed, and the nurse also renewed my duragesic script, which I didn't ask for since it wasn't due until next week, but this will save me from having to make yet another trip. This nurse is so sweet to me, and fusses over me like I were her own daughter, but I actually think I'm older than she is! I plan to heat up the ovens tomorrow, too. Cookies are a must, and I've also been making batches of candied pecans and walnuts every few days, and chocolate pecans and pretzels, to give out to friends and family in cute cookie tins. It makes the house smell so yummy. I should try some Sands for my husband, those are one of his favorites and I've never made them actually because as a " damn Yankee " , as I'm called down here, they aren't one of the specialties from my home region. No matter that I've lived here for 27 years...you would think I'd moved here yesterday by the way some of my neighbors snicker. But hubby's a true born and bred southern boy, and Sands are " Christmas cookies " for him. The appetizer contest sounds like a lot of fun......see how I got around trying to remember how to spell it the French way....I always forget where the ' is supposed to be....and I hope you win the prize again this year. Have a delicous day! Santa will thank you for it. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl.
