Guest guest
Evening all, Just wanted to write and say that I went to a Holiday party on Saturday night that was catered. They served a wonderful dinner that had a cooked wine sauce with it. My old specialist said that alcohol was fine in cooking as all alcohol burns off and you are just left with the flavor. But he also said to be careful eating this food as the pancreas can be sensitive to the taste as well. He was right. I had SUCH an attack saturday night that I was in agony for about 5 hours. I so wanted to go to the hospital because the nausea was so bad and the phengren and reglan DID NOT do anything to touch the nausea. Well, I waited it all out and was doing better in the morning. I am still alittle on the sensitive side today and still feel the effects from the attack. It was so stupid too. I felt as if I was drunk! I couldn't close my eyes as the room would start spinning and I would get more nausious. Well needless to say I won't EVER be eating anything even cooked with alcohol. I hope this doesn't happen to everyone, as everyone is different. I also have been having more nausea than pain lately...even before the holiday party. I almost think I prefer the pain over the nausea. Just wanted to add my 2 cents to the board. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!
