Guest guest
Hey all you nurses and everyone else out there ...I could use your help. I have a person who wrote to me on the top5plus5 forum and I am unsure how to answer him. Could anyone who can answer this question please go there and post a response to him.....thanks in advance...his message is as follows: Thanks for your prompt answer.I have been over 10 years on the enzyme substitute Creon, and find that the effectiveness has diminished. As a result i have a lot of " bacteria overgrowth " which is the undigested food. That o vergrowth causes awful sideeffects. The only way it can be treated according to my doctors here is thru constant use of anti biotics. I have been on and off all kinds of anti biotics since last year. They help to a certain extend but of course it is something serious to do. Is it possible that the creon loses its effectiveness, is there a maximum amount you are allowed to take, should I up the dosage? Is there something else to enable the digestion BEFORE it turns into undigested bacteria? I have tried diets, I am off gluten which made it worse but don't seem to find a way off the antibiotics. Can the creon cause my weight gain, although I don't eat much? Thanks for your help! Sincerely, Rivka Rivka's email addy is tucker1@... I am in the process of trying to find info on this and will respond also. Thanks again for you help everyone Mark
