Hi,

I was able to print out half of it okay. I have no idea why it

wouldn't print out the rest. Anyway.... Dr. Rutledge, I read

through the online version this am and I had a few thoughts.

1. I was surprised that I did not see anything about the new pre-op

meds requirements and how to get them from your pharmamcist. I would

like to see that added.

2. Also, I was surprised that you are still prescribing Vioxx after

surgery. Is your only concern with the presurgery dose and possible

bleeding?? I thought we were not suppose to have it or Celebrex

after surgery anymore.

3. With all the posts about new strategies for contacting and

dealing with the office, I would love to see all these in one place

in the manual or online. Like exactly how to mail and track the

packet. How to know if your online form has been received in the

database, when to write an email instead of calling, how to find out

if your packet is accepted. Any other new procedures. I think it

would really cut down on phone calls to the office.

On a personal note, I wrote you an email, but since I am not sure

when you will get to it, I will ask here as well. I am taking up to

600mg daily of Ultram as pain medication for foot neuropathy. It is

a derivative of Opium. Do I need to stop it prior to surgery? I

will need time to find a replacement that works somewhat or I will

not be able to sleep. I will do what is necessary and do not want to

risk surgery complications.

Thanks -
