Subject: Worried about the 350 Hi all Ever since I went to clinic on 2/19, I saw a light at the end of thetunnel. Well, I have eaten my way towards that light. I don't weigh 350 yet, but it is getting very close. I was right at 300 in February and I know I have gained a considerable amount. I am afraid to weigh myself, but I have outgrown- 24 and most 26's. How can I stop this downward spiral. I am going to try to stablize myself at my current weight. I have to go to the Dr.s so I will know how close I am. Maybe that will shock me into staying below 350. Does any one know if height plays into this decision. I am only 5'1 so 350 on me would seem to me to be heavier than someone 5'9. Thanks as always for allowing to express my feelings here>>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<How long is the typical wait from research to surgery and I being impatient? Thats all the steam I can generate today. Thanks, Denver, NC MGB hopeful since 2/19>>>>> Hiya , I was at clinic 2/19 and had surgery 2/22/2000. (I was the short, fat one) LOL I just turned 6 months post op and have lost 89 pounds. I am also only 5'1'' and weighed 325 on the day of surgery. Please, please... go for it! Surgery is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Not only do I feel 100% better, I love being able to buy clothes in regular stores, not from catalogs. I was wearing 30/32 or 4X and now am about a 24 and 2X ( I like my clothes loose) I hope we can meet at the picnic in September! About the picnic... I'm planning on bringing a suitcase full of my old clothes, (the nicer ones) so I hope some pre-ops show up! in Ohio MGB, Dr R.
