It sounds like a second band would be a good idea just based on his plagio

numbers. My son started treatment at 15mm and finished at 5mm after 2 bands (but

he was 17 months when we started, so correction was much slower). He looks

completely " normal " now. How old is your son? If he's still young, you should

see as good of results with the second as you did with the first (actually

that's pretty much true no matter the age, since we saw as much improvement with

the second as we did with the first and he was 21 months old when we got it).

The second one is custom made to fit his current head shape and will be a better

fit and more effective than say, leaving this one on for another few months

(just as an example, the DOCBand can only be worn for 4 months). Typically the

most dramatic improvement happens within the first weeks of wearing a new band.

Even though he hasn't fallen in love with his band, you might as well do it now

while he's used to it.

Let us know what you decide!

disappointed with his plagio numbers. I thought he would make better progress.

I really want him to have a normal, round head after putting him through all

this. He is a baby that did not and has not adjusted well to the band.

like 4 or 5? I prefer 3 or less, but as long as it's just mild and looks

normal, I'm okay with it. I don't expect perfection, just a normal life for my

son. Also, his ears were mis-aligned, they look better but not perfect--I've

heard it's the last thing to correct. His right eye still bulges a little

though.
