Guest guest
Hey everybody, My name is Jada Munn and I have been a member of this site for almost a week. I am hoping to have the MGB soon but I am having some trouble. I have ran into a problem with my insurance company MAMSI. They have denied me twice and in the exclusions of my policy it clearly states that it does not pay for morbid obesity treatment. I have already gone to my clinic appointment and I am beginning to think that was a bad mistake. If I change insurance companies I will have to tell them of the visit with Dr. R and that will be a pre-existing condition. If I don't tell them then when I ask for approval for the MGB they will look at my past medical appointments and find that visit. Then I will have insurance fraud on my hands! I don't want to wait the pre-existing time period with a new insurance co. because I am in school now and I will not miss any work if I had it done over one of my breaks. Also, I want to have it soon so I can be experiencing the wonderful things most of you already are. (not to mention my health) Should I try to get a lawyer like Dr. R suggested even though it clearly states in my policy? Does anyone know a lawyer who would represent this case? I have considered being a self pay but I am afraid of complications that may arise. Please someone offer me some advice!!
