Guest guest
Hi all! I was reading the posts about the radiologists...interesting. I know a lady that had colon cancer & was over-radiated. She only has like 2 feet of her intestine left. All she can eat is rice, mashed potatoes, things like that. When I was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, they did x-rays & showed me something no one has EVER shown me before. And I'm talking about 10 years of the same kinds of x-rays. There's something called the " aortic notch " that shows up on the right side of the trachea in an x-ray. They took another x-ray of me b/c the notch was on the left. He told me 1 in 2000 people have that. I had open heart surgery when I was 7 to repair a congenital heart defect, so I wasn't really surprised about that. What I was surprised about is that in all these years, no one said anything to me about it. Not that it's a big thing, but I still would've liked to have known. Don't know why really, just would've.
