Guest guest
I am researching more options and to be honest I really had no idea what was available in my area. I live in MA and NH has as Starband office, MA has a Hangar and CT has a DocBand. CT is by far at least 2-3 hours away. We use the Boston Band which on the Plagio list of states and available offices is listed as a Starband modified by NOPCO. Pictorially on the outside it looks identical except I have a velcro that is not permanently attached and the Starband has it going through some belt loop. Anyway, I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw that I basically had all three of the places at my fingertips as it were. If I am not taken seriously about the brachy next week, I am going to seek a second opinion from one of the other three places. I would prefer Hangar first, Starband second, and Doc band third ONLY due to distances to my house and convenience. Are there people who have used these local offices? Are there people who have used one type and then the other and found that one was way better? I guess my questions is more towards bands for brachy. I know that theoretically I should be able to get them to address brachy at Children's but the helmet has already been hollowed out and refilled partially and his head shape has obviously altered for the better but is different than it was 6 weeks ago so I would alsmost want a second band for brachy only. The results were so amazing that why stop here? Of course, I'll be honest, if BCBS won't cover a second helmet for some strange reason, I am going to just give up and live with it.
