I'd also appreciate any advice! We have Carefirst BCBS for DC/MD/VA metro area. They have denied it stating it is for cosmetic purposes and does not improve the effectiveness of the organ (head). We'd submitted a letter of medical necessity as well as a lot of background information with our response to the first denial and they still denied it a second time.

Funny....We're fighting the same battle with the same company. I also have BCBS

of DC/MD/VA. I'm finding that different areas seems to have different policies

as many people how have BCBS are shocked I've been denied.
