Guest guest
>>>Also my sedimrentation rate was over the limits too, does anyone know what this means?<<< Hi The Sed Rate is most likely high due to your lupus (from the inflammation).....here is some info on that lab test. " The sedimentation rate (sed rate) is a type of blood test commonly used to screen for the presence of inflammation. Because the sed rate or erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is directly related to certain blood proteins, and those blood proteins are associated with various diseases, the sed rate can be one of the earliest indicators that something is wrong " ......more info on the following link: http://www.heartcenteronline.com/myheartdr/common/articles.cfm? ARTID=377 In addition, Yahoo groups has a " Lupies " message board, and you can get tons of Lupus info and support there too. Prednisone is NOT the only treatment, I was on Prednisone for over a year, and I am glad to be off of it! Methotrexate seems to work for me, but may not work for you. Your best bet would be a Rheumatologist referral ASAP. Best Wishes, Debbie/California
