Greetings!

I am 5 months post-op and I go out to dinner with friends - I always

seem to over order (but then I take what I can home and heat it again

for another meal). I will get soup, a salad, a baked

potato....something smallish or if I am in a mom & pop joint, I get a

veggie plate (4 sides). ly, remembering to eat now is a big pain

in the tookus sometimes.

I think that eating isn't the most important thing to address, but what

are you going to do with your free time when food is no longer the

center of your universe. Your life changes...you have more energy...you

can do things, with friends, with your spouse. My life has become crazy

- in a good way. I go to parties at friends house...rehearsing and

performing with some musicians...work 2 nights a week part-time (no,

that isn't fun but I do have the energy to do it).

What would you like to do? Paint? Sing? Take up a new sport? How about

going to the movies or the theatre? Go to a park and walk. Take up a

hobbie or return to a former passion (s** included - tee hee). Develop

your spiritual side. Do things with your husband - don't just watch TV

(with computers, they compromise two big time wasters and eating

opportunities). Plan a trip. Discover who you really are free from

your weight, your guilt and your self-recrimination. Like Auntie Mame

says, " Live! Live! Live! "

It's your world - grab it.
